WOW! it’s been a while since I posted.
Trying to manage all my time to fit in regular practice has been quite a challenge over the last few weeks, however I’ve managed to get at least an hour or two in the woodshed most days. The biggest challenge has been using the time I have had wisely.
After an impromptu “Blues Jam” a few days ago I was left with the feeling that my stamina was lacking (where it concerned soloing longer than a few choruses, that is!)
I was generally quite happy with my phrases and lines, but my execution could of been lot better. To be honest I’m not really that surprised considering I’ve rarely been in a playing situation in the last 5 years where I’m allowed to solo freely and longer then 4 bars.
So with my eyes now opened to these “new” flaws, I will be cutting out all the fat in my practice plan so that the main focus will be on improvising, well for a while anyway.
I’ll try not to leave it so long between posts again, also if you have any questons, comments or suggestions, please drop me an email
Have a great weekend everyone!
P.S. Don’t forget to unplug your guitar and turn off the lights for “Earth Hour” at 20:30 tonight.
